If I die, my parents won't pray for me.
I realized that today as I was showering. I was thinking about death and funerals and how, in case of a sudden death, I would not be able to make sure my parents understood how my funeral would have to go. I should probably write down somewhere what must be done. That I must have an Orthodox funeral. If at all possible, I must not be embalmed. Non-Orthodox clergy must not be invited to participate in the Funeral Service or offer any form of homily or public statement in the temple, or participate in the graveside service. Fortunately, I have friends [I hope?] who would hold vigil and read the psalter, I know there would be panikhidas sung for me...
