the guy seems laid-back with extensions

So I just asked for one on my short easy paper. I was working and I thought I was tired so I'd take a nap, so I did, then I worked a little more and at 1 took another short nap just 'cause I could, but then it was 4am when I woke up and now I'm here and I was like, hmm, I really have made my own bed and I'm lying in it. But the guy was like, "Yeah, just ask for extensions, it's no big deal to turn it in on Monday, just don't ask after the paper's due or anything like that." I really think 4am is bad form, but I hope it'll be good enough.
