funny thing!

it turns out the roommating infidel is living in the place i'm subletting! he has the bedroom next to mine. actually, i think it might be enough separation for it all to work just peachy.

i also got off the uchicago mailing stuff - completely on gmail now. i used thunderbird to pull off all my old emails [i had been lazy/without computer enough to just use the webmail system for a lot of my career here] and now i'm free. i like gmail's webmail system a lot more than thunderbird, actually, but i'll keep it around to have like archives of my stuff on my computer.

i also changed a lot of my computer stuff to french just to get some practice and prevent complete forgetion of la langue, while i'm planning on reading a lot of greek over the summer, possibly trying to learn some russian, too. i feel so uneducated.
