glory to God

two things: first, there's a shiny brand new deacon in the world [in my parish, even], fr. dcn. alexander. doot doot! axios!

second, a baptist friend of mine and his girlfriend elsewhere attended liturgy for the first time today. i feel guilty because i'm the first and pretty much only orthodox he's been exposed to until today. there's another one and his family out there, too, in the same situation 'cept they haven't been to a liturgy yet...

EDIT: ADDENDA: i didn't have to be an altar server today, either. quite a relief, since it's nice to just watch. but i didn't get around to talking to that russian girl, though she was right there.
