The action plan in chess is as follows: review endgames heavily, review tactics heavily, work hard to get my visualization back up to the point I can just read a game [it's NO substitute for breaking out the board and set and playing through the stuff, but it makes a lot more study on the bus possible and helps calculation ability immeasurably], play serious games every once in a while.
