what do I do with a free G3?

i'm getting a free old G3 with all its original system disks. what should i do with it? the answer is first going to be "linux from scratch". it's a very limited system, so i can't expect to do everything on it. so what should i do with it? i don't feel like buying OS X [i could only expect 10.3, or possibly 10.2, to work]. i'm considering doing darwin or just straight lunix, but I don't know. oh well.
